Please never send us health values by email. For most questions, your iPhone or iPad model, iOS version and a short description are enough.

I see no or only a few values

HealthLumio only shows data types you have allowed. Open the Health app → Profile (top right) → Apps → HealthLumio and turn on the data types you want. Then pull down on “Today” in HealthLumio to reload.

Many values only exist with a matching source – for example HRV, blood oxygen or sleep stages with an Apple Watch, blood pressure with a monitor that writes to Apple Health.

Current values are missing while the iPhone is locked

iOS encrypts health data while the device is locked. Widgets then show the most recently read state and update after you unlock. iOS decides exactly when.

New Apple Watch values appear with a delay

Apple syncs health data between Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad itself – the system decides when. Opening the Health app often speeds up the sync.

Adding widgets

Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen → Edit → Add Widget → search for “HealthLumio”. For the “Metric” widget, choose one of 96 values via “Edit Widget”. On the Mac, iPhone widgets appear via Edit Widgets in macOS.

Changing goals, profile, units and display

On “Today”, tap the profile icon in the top right. There you find goals, profile (age and gender – only for the VO₂ max classification and heart rate zones), units, the length of the multi-month chart view (3 to 12 months), appearance, animations, haptics and “Customize Today”.

Units

By default, HealthLumio uses the units of your region. Under Settings → Units you can switch to metric or imperial, or choose each unit yourself: weight (kg, lb, st), distance (km, mi), height and circumference (m · cm, ft · in), energy (kcal, kJ), temperature (°C, °F), fluids (l, fl oz) and blood glucose (mg/dL, mmol/L). Calculations and classifications are independent of the units shown.

Report for your doctor

In Settings under Data → Report for your doctor (PDF) you create an overview of your values to print or share. The report is created on your device.

Trying it without your own data

In Settings under Data → Use demo data, HealthLumio shows realistic sample values. Turning it off brings back your own data.

Classifications and sources

Blood pressure according to ESC/ESH 2018, BMI according to WHO, blood oxygen and VO₂ max according to recognized reference ranges. The sources are listed in the app under Settings → Info → Classifications & sources. HealthLumio is not a medical device; if you have health questions, please contact your doctor.

Requirements

iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. HealthLumio is available in English and German and follows your device’s language.
